The Israelite’s and God’s Voice

When the Israelites were in the desert and God revealed Himself and Spoke to them out of the midst of the fire, the Israelites told Moses: “We don’t want God to Speak to us, for we will die. We want God to Speak to you Moses, and you speak to us”. The Israelites knew they were not clean in heart before God, but they could have been if they had a desire for God the same as Moses. Like Joshua spending all his time in the tabernacle in the Presence of God.
